Alice Wilshusen, CHHP was raised by several generations of natural healthcare practitioners. From a young age she accompanied her grandmother, a Cherokee Indian, on house calls and watched as she performed miracles. Hearing patients say, "thank you for saving my life" she wondered what her grandmother was doing to save these peoples lives. As it turns out she was performing colonics.
With such a profound start in life, Alice fed her hunger for learning about holistic healthcare with a vigor. She has been providing in-home health care for more than five decades.
In the early 80's she was recruited by a small team of healthcare practitioners to begin Hospice of Santa Barbara. It was the first hospice center in the state of California. In March of 1986 she became certified in colonic hydrotherapy; and maintains additional certifications in Nutritional Counseling, Natural Health, and Reflexology.
Her knowledge about a variety of natural healthcare practices, and her nurturing touch make Alice a one-of-a-kind healthcare practitioner. Having healed herself from cancer twice in her life she has walked the talk she speaks, and offers the compassion needed to really care for each person's individual needs.
